The Northeastern Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program (NEAT)

Serving Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Eastern Shore of Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont.

Northeastern Apprenticeship Training was created in 1968 by the IBEW and NECA in order to prepare people to become Union Journeyman Lineman in the Outside Construction Industry. We are committed to providing the best training available to not just our own apprentices, but to any IBEW Journey Level Worker looking to upgrade their training to become more valuable in their field.

NEAT operates independently, but is governed by a joint board made up of both IBEW and NECA Members. We are part of a National Program which operates under the guidance of the electrical training ALLIANCE and is registered with and monitored by the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

One of the many responsibilities that NEAT must fulfill is to maintain a workforce large enough to keep up with the constant growth of the Outside Electrical Construction Industry in the Northeast. In order to do that, we are continually looking for applicants who are self-motivated and capable of performing both the mental and physical aspects of our work.
